A two-time Pro Bowler, Bushrod has started 62 of 66 games in six seasons (2007-12) at left tackle for New Orleans after being selected by the Saints in the fourth round (125th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has also started all six postseason contests at left tackle, including Super Bowl XLIV. He has been named to the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons.
During his time as a starter for New Orleans (2009-12), the Saints offense allowed just 96 sacks, tied for fewest in the NFL, led the NFL in total offense (413.6 ypg) and was second in scoring offense (29.7 ppg). The Saints ranked in the top five in fewest sacks allowed in each of those four seasons.
The 6-5, 315-pound Bushrod has started all 16 contests in each of the last three seasons and anchored the Saints offensive line during their Super Bowl Championship season in 2009, starting 14 of 15 games played that year.
