Dothan`s Interim Police Chief has only been on that job for a little over a month. Now it looks as though he`ll have to put it on hold for the time being.
Captain Nick Monday is being called up for military duty for a short period of time.
He`s also the Assistant Director of Dothan`s Emergency 911 system. His departure leaves that office in a bit of a bind. But, Monday says with the help of the city commission and the city manager, the police department and the E-911 system will run smoothly.
Captain John Givens has also been activated to serve, and will be gone for a year. Captain Monday is only expected to be gone a month.
That will leave Police Captain Steve Parrish as the only captain in the department...he will now serve as Interim Police Chief.
