GOVERNOR RILEY ALLENDS FREEDOM BALL

President Bush is now several hours into his second term in office, but as you might expect, people in Washington celebrated the inauguration with several balls. Governor Riley and his wife Patsy, were in the nation`s capitol for the festivities. They met up with and even shared the dance floor with, the president and first lady at the Freedom Ball. President Bush spent the evening attending several celebratory events throughout the Washington area. Yesterday did mark the beginning of President Bush`s next four years in office. Shortly before noon, the President stood on the west front steps of the U.S. Capitol, and reaffirmed his oath of office, which was administered by Chief Justice William Rehnquist. In his inaugural address, the president laid out some of the ideals that will govern his next term. In his speech, he concentrated on the message of freedom, saying his administration plans to do all it can to spread liberty throughout the world.
