COTTONWOOD HAS NEW FIRE TRUCK

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Firefighters in the town of Cottonwood have a shiny new addition for their squad...a brand new firetruck, unveiled yesterday. It was made possible by the citizens of Houston County, who voted on a 30 dollar fire fee...and also by a matching grant from FEMA, the largest received in Houston County. The firetruck is called a "pumper-tanker-truck", and it is the first vehicle of its kind for the department. The price tag on the truck comes in at about 241-thousand dollars. The city of Cottonwood has an I.S.O., or an insurance service rating of 5, with the best being 1. The Fire Marshall says this new truck should allow for that rating to improve.
