BOND SET FOR WOMAN ACCUSED IN STABBING INCIDENT

Updated: January 7, 2009
Bond has now been set for the suspect accused of stabbing a woman to death in Wicksburg on Christmas Eve. Angela Turner has been held in the Houston County Jail since the night of the murder. Judge Steensland ruled last week that there would be no bond for the suspect, but yesterday, she and her Attorney Eric Davis, asked Judge Brad Mendham to release her into the custody of a bondsman. Turner has a long wrap sheet...she`s also been a no-show at more than one court appearance. D. A. Doug Valeska argued that Turner would be likely to flee the area. After some deliberation, Judge Mendham did set a bond at one million dollars. Angela Turner is set to go before the Grand Jury in March, but sources at the courthouse tell us that it probably will happen much sooner.
