A sad story to report, yesterday the Houston County Sheriff`s Department received a rescue call concerning a four month old baby boy who needed to be taken to the hospital immediately. The child was transported to the Medical Center where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Three people have been arrested with felony child abuse charges and could face more serious charges in connection with the death, pending the outcome of the autopsy.
Houston County Sheriff`s deputies arrested Tierra Capri Gobble, age 21, and her common-law husband, Samuel David Hunter, also 21, and charged them with domestic violence. An uncle, Edgar E. Parrish, age 41, was also arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse.
All three are being held in Houston County Jail under a 1-million dollar bond.
An autopsy performed on the infant yesterday in Mobile, revealed the infant had a fractured skull, two broken ribs, and two broken wrists.
The three arrested are facing possible murder charges.
