The City of Dothan puts it`s money where it`s mouth is...voting to help fund a local state park that`s struggling due to state budget cuts.
After a unanimous vote by the Dothan City Commission yesterday morning, Landmark Park will receive 34-thousand dollars to help with operating expenses.
Landmark Park`s Executive Director williams Holman, expressed his appreciation to the city for it`s support.
He says while the additional money will help the park, there`s still a lot of financial ground that needs to be made up.
Landmark Park, like many parks across the state, have seen a decrease in state funding due to budget cuts.
