The termination of Captain John Collier, who was let go from the force late last week after 26 years on the job is still up in the air. City Manager Mike West wouldn`t comment on the situation at yesterday`s City Commission meeting, and told the local media that information would be forthcoming at a later date. Souces say Collier was involved in an "alleged" incident while on duty, with a local gas station store clerk on West Main Street.
