The 2004 General Election may be said and done, but county election officials were up early this yesterday morning, testing voting machines for another upcoming race. Ed Vaughn and Curtis Harvey will be up against each other in the runoff election for County Commission, District One.
The machines have already been tested several times...once by the company, as well as the Probate Office, and again by the custodian for the voting machines in Houston County. They all came up with the same results, which allowed them to test one more time in front of the public.
Testing again is State Law...there is always a public test after the company has tested and the Probate office has tested and have the same result. The public is invited out today, or if you just aren`t comfortable about it, you are able to put your fears to rest under the lights.
County election officials encourage everyone to cast their vote in that runoff election this coming Tuesday.
