FLU SHOTS UPDATE

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Your chance to get a flu shot from the latest batch distributed yesterday is now over. High risk people including the elderly and toddlers filled Westgate Recreation Center until five o`clock yesterday to get a vaccination. Because the department had plenty of the vaccine in this go-around, staff members were able to lift the last name limit and welcomed everyone at high risk in to get a shot. Meanwhile, at a government committee meeting yesterday, federal officials tried to determine who exactly is to blame for the recent shortage. There was one piece of positive news at yesterday`s meeting....the head of the C.D.C. says the flu season is, so far, off to a slow start.
