FATAL ACCIDENT ON HIGHWAY 84 EAST

Another fatal accident to report here in Houston County. It happened yesterday just before 4:30PM, when a 1998 Dodge Avenger was heading eastbound on Highway 84. The driver lost control of the car and hit a tree...that driver was Donna Vivian Hallford, who died immdiately on impact. There were no other passengers inside the car. This is the 50th fatal accident in Houston County this year...Monday we told you about another fatal wreck just outside Houston County near Malvern which took the lives of two Hartford residents. Locally, there has been a dramatic increase in accidents, and due to the excessive traffic around the Peanut Festival, police and troopers are asking everyone to drive with care.
