NOVEMBER IS ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Commissioners proclaimed the month of November as "Adoption Awareness Month" in the area. Officials say there are 23 children right here in Houston County waiting to be adopted, and they hope this month will draw attention to Foster Parents and the contribution they make to the community. They are also encouraging families to consider adoption, and to think about those who need a permanent home. Officials say it`s a big job meeting the needs of children in our community, and they couldn`t do it without those residents who have opened homes and opened hearts.
