Dothan Fire officials were called to a fire yesterday morning on Rebecca Drive in Dothan around 11 o`clock.
Residents of 499 Rebecca Drive can thank one attentive Dothan Fire Marshall, for driving by their house when he spotted smoke from afar.
That Fire Marshall noticed a grill outside that had been left unattented. Ashes fell out of the grill and onto some pine-straw, which then rapidly spread throughout the yard.
No one was home at the time of the fire, which was put out in about ten minutes. Officials want to remind everyone to never leave cooking items, or anything else that could be hazardous unattended.
