AMENDEMENT TWO

When you cast your vote Tuesday, you probably noticed an amendment on the ballot that may have raised an eyebrow or two...it had to do with segregtion-era language being taken out of the Alabama State Constitution, and it`s still unclear whether or not it will happen. Election officials are now still counting votes in the fight over Amendment Two...about 688-thousand voted for it...the slim difference comes with 99-percent of precincts reporting. The amendment was rejected by many voters who believed it went beyond it`s original intention of removing racist language from the constitution.
