News 18 spoke to Political Analyst, Dr. Richard Martin yesterday, to discuss the expectations of today`s election.
Martin says he anticipates some states, such as Alabama for example, to be quickly established on which way the state will go, based on traditional voting patterns.
However, many states may be close enough that it`ll require an all-night count, and discussion of lawyers stepping in could lengthen the time it takes for us to know who our next President will be.
Martin says the amount of time it takes will depend on how many states come out clearly and decidedly in their final vote tallys.
Houston County registrars had one of the busiest days they`ve had all year yesterday....phones wouldn`t stop ringing regarding questions about todays elections, and people wondering if they could still register to vote.
Probate Judge Luke Cooley says Houston County is more than prepared for the election...machines had been checked and poll lists were out and Chief Inspectors picked up ballots yesterday.
If you don`t remember where to vote, remember where you went to vote for Governor, unless you have moved...you should go back to that public place.
