If you live in Houston County and your job or business took a hit from the storm, all you have to do is call to see if you qualify.
Houston County is one of the fifty-three counties declared eligible for individual disaster relief. Local EMA officials say that the aid is there, but many local people doesn`t take advantage of it.
You may file a claim by calling 1-866-234-5382, and a FEMA representaive will help you, or you can visit the website at ir.alabama.gov.
FEMA repreentatives say if you get a busy signal, just continue calling...the best time to get through is late morning or early afternoon.
