Ivan has been proven to cause trouble for another population...it seems Alabama`s crops have taken a beating from the storms, as almost half of the state`s cotton crop is gone.
Initial reports estimate 390-thousand bales of cotton, worth 127-million dollars, were lost statewide.
Ivan hit other crops hard as well, wiping out 2.5 million dollars in corn and soybeans, and a huge portion of Alabma`s pecan crop was also devastated, because the majority of pecan production is located in coastal Mobile and Baldwin counties.
