DOTHAN REGIONAL AIRPORT REPORTS MORE TRAFFIC

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
While we may have been spared the damage Hurricane Jeanne brought to Florida and Georgia, she did bring more than just rain here in Dothan..she also brought planes... Dothan was considered a "safe haven" from the wicked weather that bombarded the Sunshine State, and since our Regional Airport was free and clear, a number of helicopters and aircraft that carry medical supplies performed emergency landings..and stayed there overnight. Those planes landed Monday night and took off early yesterday morning. Dothan Regional Airport Manager, Art Morris tells News 18 he was glad that the airport was able to accommodate all those pilots heading in from South Florida.
