"FUNNY MONEY" CIRCULATES IN COMMUNITY

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
An increase in the use of counterfeit money has been reported over the past few weeks, going around among the Dothan business community. Because of recurring fake bills, Dothan Police are now cautioning everyone to stay on the look out. Authorities say counterfeiters are more likely to try to pass off the bogus bills in mall stores and restaurants, where cashiers are busy with lots of customers. The most commonly used fakes have been 10`s and 20`s, but 5`s and 100`s have also been seen. If you have information about the bogus bills, you are urged to call the DPD at 615-3632, or crimestoppers.
