By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
It has been almost a year since Dennis Rubin left the Dothan City Manager position to go to Atlanta. Ten months later, commissioners are ready to vote on his replacement. Today, the commission will officially say if they will hire Michael West from Johnson City, Tennessee, to take on the job. Four out of seven commissionrs must approve for that to happen, and it is expected that vote will be unanimous. If so, West will be asked to sign a two year contract, which includes a salary of 143-thousand, 500-hundred dollars, not counting a car, insurance, retirement and other additional benefits. Some say that is too much, but City Commissioner Jason Rudd says otherwise. We will followup on the City Commission`s vote today on News 18 at 5, 6 & 10 PM.
