Updated: January 7, 2009
Dothan may finally have a new permanent City Manager...that is, if candidate Michael K. West accepts the job. A whopping salary of a hundred, forty three thousand dollars a year has been offered Mr. West. The Commission expects to have an answer from West by today, or at least by Friday morning. It is Mayor Chester Sowell`s hope to discuss the job offer during next Tuesday`s commission meeting. West has spent a number of years in city government, and has been the City Manager of Johnson City, Tennessee since 2001.
