breaking news
Area police made a very large drug bust in the rather small town of Cottonwood last night.
Chief Jim Smith of the Cottonwood Police Department told WDHN that officers noticed a small trace of cocaine outside a local vehicle...and upon further investigation, uncovered over 61-thousand dollars worth of drugs.
Officers have since made two arrests in the case...23-year-old Nicholas Cody of Cottonwood, and also a Marianna resident who has yet to be identified. Both have been arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and bribery, for trying to pay off the officers.
WDHN News hopes to have more on this story tonight at 5, 6 & 10pm.
