Updated: January 7, 2009
In Dothan`s ongoing search for a permanent City Manager.... Mike West, City Manager of Johnson City, Tennessee came through Dothan about two weekends ago and met with Mayor Chester Sowell and City Commissioners about the City Manager Position. Mayor Sowell told News 18 yesterday, that West`s trip to the circle city was mainly to visit the town, but they are expecting him to return for a formal interview in a couple of weeks. The mayor says the majority of commissioners are curious to hear more about West`s professional background. West`s resume was a part of the first wave of candidates for the position several months ago, but at that time he chose to withdraw his name from the pool. Commissioners recalled him recently to be re-interviewed for the job.
