ONE HOUSTON COUNTY JAIL CORRECTIONS OFFICER KEEPING JOB

News 18 has learned that one Corrections Officer accused in last weeks sex and drug scandal at the Houston County Jail, will be keeping his job. Seven of the eight officers caught up in allegations of sexual misconduct with female inmates resigned prior to a determination hearing last Friday. The eighth and only remaining individual spoke to Sheriff Lamar Glover at that hearing, after which it was determined that this individual did not take part in any sexual activity, and therefore, was allowed to stay on board. Glover says the deprtment has already hired three replacements for the guard positions, which came open after the scandle broke. They are currently interviewing others in hopes of hiring more officers soon.
