A special guest is expected to visit the magic city today as the 2004 Presidential Election rolls into town. John Edwards, Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee, will visit Birmingham. Edwards paid an earlier visit to the state as a primary candidate for his party`s Presidential nomination. The North Carolina Senator will be attending a fundraiser today. Statewide polls show President Bush with a double-digit lead over Democratic Presidential nominee John Kerry. Democrats, however, are hoping Edward`s visit will change that statistic.
