Another organization you can count on to be of assistance in times of natural disaster...The American Red Cross...they`re teaming up with Winn Dixie stores across the aoutheast, including here in the wiregrass, to establish what they`re calling the `Even-It-Up` program.
For the next several weeks when you check out at any Winn-Dixie register, you can round your bill up to the next dollar, with the change being donated to the Diaster Relief Fund...that money will be used for clean-up efforts in Southwest Florida.
You can also choose to donate more by simply telling the cashier how much more you want added to the total bill.
The `Event-Up` program has already begun at all Winn Dixie stores, and will run through the end of September.
