POLICE LOOKING FOR MAN IN CHILD SEX-CRIME

Updated: January 7, 2009
Police are still looking for a man caught on surveilance video fondling a nine year old girl in the southside Walmart toy section last Thursday. Dothan police say this is a serious crime and the perpetrator must be stopped. They stated that these individuals typically start off with fondling children, and often times get into abducting and sexual abuse. Police have received a number of calls from individuals who may have seen the suspect driving away in a small, dark colored car, possibly a Kia or older model Nissan. They are now working on enhancing the images of this surveilance video in hopes of pinpointing this pedophile. It isn`t something you run across every day, but nationwide it`s often times unreported by the children themselves because they are afraid or threatened. Capt. Steve Parish of the DPD says the public nor police can afford to turn their backs on this. They need your help to catch the perpertrator...they`re looking for a beared, red-haired white male. If you have additional information about this case, you are asked to call the Dothan Police Department at 615-3000.
