VICKIE MOORE SEEKING ANOTHER TERM AS MAYOR OF SLOCOMB

Yesterday one local mayor dodged the threat of severe weather and instead, announced her bid for re-election. Vickie Moore made it official that she will run for another term as the mayor of Slocomb. Mayor Moore pointed out improvements to the quality of life in the city during her four years in office. She also says she hopes to continue with that effort in what she hopes will be her next term. State Senator Harri Anne Smith has already thrown her support behind the mayor. David Hidle will be running against the incumbent...Hidle ran last time in a close race for the spot of Slocomb Mayor.
