STOCK UP ON SUPPLIES FOR A NATURAL DISASTER

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Before tropical storm Bonnie "potentially" touches our area this week....it`s a good idea to stock up on supplies for a natural disaster. Local hardware stores right now are being flooded with requests. In fact, the last hurricane that hit Dothan hard, emptied out some stores supply of flashlights...so at Lowe`s, management is stocking up to make sure that your home is adequately stocked. It is important to not only know what to do in the event of a tropical storm, but to have the necessary supplies. Lowe`s employees say not to just stock up on the obvious things like water and non-perishable foods, but also other supplies like generators in the event of a power outage...chainsaws in case a tree falls down...and of course, always have flashlights and spare batteries. These tips aren`t just good for tropical storms or hurricanes, but any natural disaster when you`re shut in your home, even a terrorist attack.
