Perhaps you play the violin or some other stringed instrument, but have a difficult time finding others to harmonize with. A local orchestra here in the Wiregrass is doing something to change that. The Tri-State Community Orchestra is announcing the formation of the Wiregrass Youth Symphony Orchestra. They are teaming up with Music South and The Cultural Arts Center, to provide children from 9 to 18 years old, lessons on how to play the violin, viola, cello and bass. Music Director, Dr. James Zingara says the program is a great opportunity to learn the stringed instruments. Registration for classes begins Thursday, August 12th from 5:30 to 6:30pm in The Cultural Arts Center on South St. Andrews Street in Dothan. First rehearsal begins August 21st. If you have any questions, you can contact the Cultural Arts Center at 699-2787.
