COLLEGE TUITION ON THE RISE

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
College students will have to dig deeper into their pockets to pay for college. The Alabama Commission on Higher Education estimates students on public campuses will pay about eleven percent more than last year. The average annual college tuition is close to 44-hundred dollars. The University of Alabama`s tuition went up by five-hundred dollars this year, while Auburn`s jumped by four-hundred dollars. The increase is being attributed to budget cuts, employee benefit costs and operating expenses.
