Some people are "fearful" of the blue lights on a police car, and if it could get any worse...what if the person who pulled you over wasn`t a real police officer? For nearly three years, Colby Lee Edmondson of Cottonwood allegedly did just that.
Edmondson was arrested around one o`clock Wednesday afternoon by the Houston County Sherriff`s Department, for impersonating a police officer.
The arrest stems from two instances reported to Houston County investigators, one of the reports says he threatened to give someone a speeding ticket if he didn`t slow down...in the other case, Edmondson was accused of telling someone he would issue a ticket for a broken taillight. After the allegations surfaced, Edmondson is said to have confessed to committing the actions.
Officials with the Houston County Sherriff`s Department say they`re just glad to help get him off the local roads.
Bond is set at a thouand dollars for Edmonson, who is in the Houston County Jail.
