By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Martha Stewart could remain a Connecticut resident, but behind bars. Today she was sentenced to five months in prison for lying to Federal Investigators. Stewart was also ordered to serve five months of home confinement and fined 30 thousand dollars. The U. S. Bureau of Prisons would determine in which prison Stewart does her time. The most likely place is a minimum-security prison for women in Dansbury, Connecticut or Alderson, West Virginia. The Judge in Stewart`s case has stayed her sentence pending appeal.
