FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT HELPS NEEDY FAMILIES

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
It looks like children in need will have a very Merry Christmas this year, thanks to Farley Nuclear Plant. For 18 years, employees have taken up money to put towards Christmas presents for needy children. This year they were able to help 102 children get exactly what they wished for. They have affiliated with the House of Ruth, the Alfred Saliba Family Servces and the Child Advocacy Center. Kids made their Christmas "wish list" and they make sure they get everything they want. "We buy whatever they have on the list, no matter how much. This may be their only Christmas to get gifts and we want everyone to have a Merry Christmas," says Sam Jones, Farley employee. Approximately 1,000 employees participated in the event and there was a total of $60,000 spent on gifts for the kids. JANA JACOBS-REPORTER WDHN 18
