COUNTY COMMISSIONS LAT MEETING OF THE YEAR

The Houston County Commission reconveyned this morning for a special session.
The first item on the agenda was to pick a bank to handle the county`s money for the next three years. In the past the county rotated among local banks for the contract, but since then commissioners felt it`s best to go with the bank that will allow the county to get the best return on it`s funds. Commissioners chose Regions Bank. Also at the meeting this morning Emergency Management Agency Director Shelby Womack was appointed a point of contact for the Alabama Department of Homeland Security.
