CHARITY TOYS

Updated: January 7, 2009
Over three hundred needy children will have gifts to open on Christmas this year, thanks to employees at Shaw Infrastructure, Inc. Workers within the company were awarded money throughout the year for safety achievements and chose to donate the award to the toy pool. Shaw`s corporate headquarters in Baton Rouge added additional funds as well, bringing the current total to about 25 hundred dollars. Wal-Mart in Enterprise gave Shaw a ten percent discount towards their toy shopping spree. With the discount, the value of the toys was two thousand, seven hundred and fifty dollars. "We just want to make sure families, children and those who are less fortunate have a much better Christmas...that`s the whole intent," says Shaw employee Robert Moore. Toys will go to three different municipal organizations, which include: The Angel Tree in Enterprise, Operation Santa Claus in Daleville and Organized Community Action Program, in Ozark.
