Updated: January 7, 2009
Wal-mart and Sams Club honored disabled veterans today by presenting the Disabled Veterans of America organization with a donation also at the veterans day ceremony. The group depends largely on donations and grants from various organizations, and the money received from Wal-mart and Sams Club will add to their ability to offer services to disabled veterans and their families. The money for the grant comes from the Wal-Mart-Sams foundation. It is a civic grant for non-profit organizations and out of all other local non profits, the DAV was chosen by the retail giant to receive the special grant.
