RING-A-DING-DING

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Bells will be ringing this week as the Salvation Army kicks off its annual Christmas drive to raise money for families in need. Over 16 kettles will be set up around town at places like Wal-mart and Big Lots. The money collected from the kettles will help provide food and clothing to over three thousand people in the wiregrass this holiday season. Through the kettle drive the Salvation Army has raised around 100,000 thousand dollars; they hope to exceed that amount this year. The actual ringing will start on Thursday--that will mark the beginning of many more fundraising activities for the Salvation Army.
