Today the Dothan Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership along with various state organizations and area schools celebrated a drug-free hands across the border. The event was held at the Alabama, Florida state line to symbolize Southeast Alabama and Northwest Florida coming together for a drug free society campaign. "The problems that weve seen in the Houston County school and Dothan City schools, is a lot of children are experimenting with tobacco and alcohol, fortunately our police department is doing an excellent job in keeping some of the harder drugs away from our children," says Susan Trawick. Students from Rehobeth, Cottonwood, Dothan High, Northside Methodist Academy and Marianna schools all participating in todays event.
