Matt Rodgers teaches tenth grade United States History at Enterprise High School. Hes been teaching for nine years and believes it is important to make students feel welcome in his classroom, as well as learn about our nation`s past.
"My goal as a teacher is to make sure every teacher that comes in my classroom is welcome. There are a lot of things we can teach them but, more importantly, teaching them to care about the history part of it and appreciation for the past as well as preparing for the future," says Rodgers.
Students say they like Rodgers teaching style because he allows them to work in groups and makes learning fun.
Walter Engram says, "He keeps us on our qs and ps, asks us questions, I like that,".
Teaching is not always easy, as it may but Rodgers says his job is simple when you have students who want to learn.
"It takes a lot of effort, were blessed with really good students and E.H.S. and were fortunate to have motivated students that care about their grades," he says.
