COUNTY COMPUTER WATCHING?

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
County employees may soon have a closer eye watching over their work stations--not over their shoulders, but on their computers. Today Mark Pool, County Engineer for the Houston County Road and Bridge Department, requested that the commission implement a policy, which will allow him to monitor his employees` computer usage. "We want them to be working on county work and we don`t want them working three or four hours on personal stuff on the computers.....I need to monitor, its just business," says Pool. Pool also says he`s sure employee productivity will increase, if the policy is approved. The county commission tabled the proposal until their next administrative meeting in November.
