DENNIS RUBIN QUITS!!!!

Dothan City Manager Dennis Rubin has accepted the Fire Chief`s job in Atlanta. Rubin made the announcement at a hastily-called press conferece Sunday afternoon in Dothan. Rubin, who has been in his current post less than 16 months had been a finalist for the job but took his name out of consideration. However, he says Atlanta officials "wouldn`t take no for an answer" and he is now set to assume his new post in early December. Rubin says he will remains on the job in Dothan until November 30th. His contract, which allows him to leave for a fire chief`s job, requires a minimum 30 day notice. Rubin called the Atlanta position "a dream job".
