Katrina Jackson says shes fed up with the deteriorating condition of her rental property and refuses to pay anymore rent. Shes asked her landlord, Dothan City Commissioner Amos Newsome, to fix up the house at 2040 Lake Street, who in return filed for her eviction saying reports of domestic violence and Jacksons refusal to pay rent is too much for him to handle.
"A total of fourteen times the police responded to 2040 Lake Street and the neighbors were very upset because there was swearing and profanity up and down the street," says Newsome.
But Jackson says Newsome is a slum lord using her personal affairs as an excuse not to make repairs.
"Our bathroom has never been used, the toilet is just disgusting," says Jackson.
Jackson is expected to vacate Newsome`s property by tomorrow.
