The Wiregrass Museum of Art has three new exhibits, all from very different media. The newest addition to the museum is an exhibit by a Mobile Alabama artist named Casey Downing. Museum Associate Curator Erin Schovel says the exhibit displays many different focuses. "I like the diversity. I really like that it shows the artist doesnt just focus on one media and they dont do one approach. Thats what Casey Downing wanted to show." The three new exhibits are all from different media. Theres sculpture, painting and infrared photography. The sculptures are by Casey downing, the portraits were done Sergei Shillabeer of Troy Alabama, and the infrared photos were taken by Robert Parker. Shoval says the artists featured say a lot about the goals of the museum. "I think that we are really moving forward, we are focusing on regional artist. Were excited to show these artists to people and open up the museum to the wiregrass area." For more info on museum exhibits or other programs call 794-3871. by: Sheldra Howard
