TREE FALLS CAR AND DRIVER

Headland Avenue had to be shut down Friday afternoon after lightning struck a tree and split it in half. The large oak tree fell onto a car which was traveling north of Headland Avenue totally submerging the automobile in limbs. The other part of the tree fell on an adult day care center. Luckily, nobody was hurt but power lines came down and the area was without electricity for much of Friday afternoon. Residents at the adult daycare expressed concern about the costs of removing the debris from their facility.
