An early morning high speed chase in Dothan left the suspect injured and facing several criminal charges. The chase ended when a patrol cruiser and the suspect`s vechile collided on the Circle near North Cherokee Avenue. After the wreck, police say the suspect tried to flee on foot but fell into a patrol car where he received burns to the leg. 29-year old Sylvester Sykes, Junior is charged with DUI, Attempting to Elude, Reckless Endangerment, and Driving on Suspended License. He is in a local hospital recovering from his burns.
