OLD COUNTY YARD SOLD

Houston County Commissioners voted Monday (7/28/03) to sell the old county yard to Amos Newsome who plans to develop the land as a veterans park. The 6.7 acres was sold for $35,300 after a 4-1 vote during which only Commissioner Bobby Snellgrove dissented. Newsome was recently elected to the Dothan City Commission.
