One driver faced a scary moment Thursday morning. A woman slammed her car into the Department of Veteran Affairs Mental Health Clinic. The building is located next to the Northside Post Office.

Investigators say the driver was trying to park her car when it went through the building.  A person was in the waiting room, but they were able to get out of the way in time.

The accident shut down the clinic for Thursday and Friday. All appointments were re-scheduled. Clean up efforts are expected to be complete by Monday.  Veterans who have a scheduled appointment on Monday are asked to call 1-800-214-8387, Ext. 7805 prior to traveling to the clinic.
