Three people have been arrest by the Houston County Sheriff's office after almost $20,000 worth of synthetic marijuana was found by investigators.

Sheriff Andy Hughes says investigators arrested 20-year-old Joshua Bryant Stewart of Dothan on Tuesday after a routine traffic stop on Stonebridge Drive. He
was charged with felony attempted distribution of a controlled substance and felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Deputies found 40 grams of synthetic marijuana, which had an estimated street value of $4,000.

But the investigation and arrests didn't end there.

Hughes said deputies arrested 21-year-old Phillip Nathan Beasley of Wetumpka and 27-year-old Crystal Lashea Wolfe of Columbia. They were charged with felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance and felony chemical endangerment of a child.

Following the traffic stop, the investigation shifted to a Dothan Hotel where about 150 grams of synthetic marijuana with a street value of $15,000 was found. Children were also in the hotel room with the drugs.

Hughes said the drugs were not primarily for personal use...but rather...for selling to anyone and everyone they could sell too.
