Three Men Arrested in Dale County for Stealing Scrap Metal

On 03/09/2013 Dale County Deputies responded to a farm on County Road 9 South of Newton in reference to a theft in progress.  While en route, Deputies were advised that the victim had (3) suspects at gun point awaiting their arrival. Deputies along with  Sheriff Olson arrived and  detained the suspects. 

The  victim stated that he received a call the day before from a neighbor in regards to a suspicious red pick-up truck in the area. The victim stated that as he was checking his property he observed a red pick-up truck in a wooded area approximately mile off the roadway.  The truck was loaded with scrap metal the suspects were in the process of removing from the victim's property.

All (3) suspects were arrested for Theft of Property 2nd and transported to the Dale County Jail.
